Our Public Schools Are Worth Fighting For
Together, 80,000 educators, in 32 California school districts, serving 1 million students, are joining parents, students and communities to fight for these shared demands:
-
Fully Staff Our Schools
Smaller Class Sizes and Caseloads
All students deserve a well-rounded, joyful education in well-resourced schools. That means smaller class sizes and access to counselors, nurses, and mental health professionals for every student.
-
Safe and Stable Schools
Stability & Safety Our Students Deserve
Students deserve more resources, not less. Yet, 2,000 educators were threatened with layoff notices last year. Layoffs, cuts, and school closures disproportionately harm our most vulnerable students and bring chaos to our school communities. Our students and school communities deserve robust and stable funding.
-
Competitive Wages and Benefits
To Recruit and Retain Quality Educators
There are thousands of vacancies across California public schools. Educators should be able to own a home, raise a family, and thrive in our communities. It’s time for pay and benefits that match the essential role educators have in our society.
Why We Can’t Wait
The Plan
Our plan to win
Every school deserves full funding to provide students with the resources they need, and every educator deserves a living wage that reflects their vital role in our communities.
With your support, we can ensure both educators and students have the support they need to thrive.
